After 3 albums, 1 U.S. tour where they opened for pop princess Lady Gaga, and billions of fans later, Cinema Bizarre announced some very sad news. On a Myspace blog on Jan. 21, the German glam-rock band announced that they would no longer work under the name Cinema Bizarre and that they were taking a break.
The blog read as follows:
Dear fans, dear friends,
As a band we reached a point in our career where it is time for us to start something new.
We decided to discontinue working as Cinema Bizarre from now on and take a break beginning in 2010.
We want to say thank you for all the faithful and devoted loyalty and we are grateful for getting the chances able to work with wonderful and talented people.
The results are two albums that made us travel the whole world to see your faces and play our songs.
We look back in delight, are happy to be the best German newcomer outside Germany, we like to think about all the concerts we played.
The last year was a huge success for Cinema Bizarre.
Some say one should leave off with an appetite.
All's well that ends well - we'll meet again.
Stay true to yourself.

Love, Cinema Bizarre
Even Space Cowboy was shocked about the break up expressing in a tweet "oh wow.So Cinema Bizarre split up.They are such gentlemen and i wish the lads huge success in their new projects.Cap'n Jack Strify is a STAR ."
With all the disappointed fans expressing their sadness with the band's decision, lead singer Strify tweeted "It was an amazing time. We met incredible people & made many memories thank u so much 4 all your mails & wishes. You made that all happen!" and 6 hours later "You don't need to miss us. As long as you listen to the music. As long as you love and live the songs, Cinema Bizarre will be alive."
Keyboardist Romeo went on a live chat recently to clear up some misunderstandings. He said that the band will be back together after this year and that they are JUST taking a break to work on separate projects. Rumors are that Romeo joined the band Black Veil Brides and Kiro, Stify, Shin, and Yu are going solo.
